19th of May... The weather forecasts predicted 20 knot wind, but in fact there was much more - the anemometers were showing up to 50 knots! On the flat side there were forming impressive tides. In a short time the beach was under the water and we were saving the base, the equipment and ourselves, helping others who came into quite some trouble. Add to this dark sky and drizzling rain. Today we've got sun and proper - south-west wind. Though the waves on the 'flat' side are still there. The base is saved.
